FAQ: Why do I need to clean my roof?
In New Zealand, moss and lichen naturally grow on roofs over time. If left untreated, they can damage the protective coating and even weaken the roof structure. Regular maintenance helps preserve the roof surface and significantly extend its lifespan.
How often should I maintain my roof and exterior walls?
Every 1–2 years, depending on your location and how quickly moss and lichen tend to grow in your area.
Why hasn’t the moss disappeared immediately after my roof treatment?
After applying the treatment, we normally do not rinse the roof with water. The solution needs to remain on the surface to prevent new moss from forming over the next 1–2 years.
The product works gradually by penetrating into the moss and lichen to fully kill them — a process that can take several months. The dead growth will break down naturally and be washed away by rain over time.
